For our neighbors near Portland

My stats for this blog show me that people have been searching for the Eat Local Week event in Portland, which sent me off on a search myself to see what it’s all about. As far as I can tell, The Sustainable Business Network of Portland is sponsoring Eat Local Week, July 4-11 in Portland, during which area residents are encouraged to support their local restaurants and buy a portion of their groceries from neighborhood food co-ops, grocery stores and local farmers markets. A percentage of proceeds from Eat Local Week will benefit Oregon Food Bank. I admit, I’m just doing a search and quickly scanning in order to write this post, but info about the event seems kind of spotty.
